RTS Executive Workshop 2016

On 23rd November at Radisson Blu Hotel in Milan RTS held the 2016 edition of the traditional appointment organized to allow the cardboard sector operators to discuss the latest market trends, the new opportunities offered by economic and technological scenario and concrete experiences in the realization of projects aimed at developing efficiency and productivity.

This year among the issues at the center of the debate have received much attention solutions and services aimed at the transformation of enterprises in digital key, oriented to predictability and business growth. Everything was also contextualized in the framework of the new economic opportunities and facilities outlined by Industry 4.0 program, recently launched by the institutions to facilitate the development of enterprises.

RTS has contributed by offering a rich array of innovations from the point of view of services, introducing the new methodology Smart Company 4.0 focused on digital company, and illustrating a series of new application features aimed at optimizing areas of sales, production, transport and supply chain integration.

In particular, the first part of the morning was dedicated to the theme “Evolutions and opportunities of the new scenario: new trends and change drivers”, with speeches by Daniel Brunton – CEO at Brunton Business Publications (Corrugated - Now in a digital world?), Vittorio Arighi -Practice Leader, Net Consulting (The value of digital innovation: industry 4.0 and SEO), Juan-Jorge Sanz - Director & Partner, EXEO Consulting (Opinions and comments on the state of our industry, prospects and challenges) and lastly Luigi Jovacchini - Partner, Consulting and resources (Financial and fiscal tools for the recovery of the investments).

Then followed some papers that offered insights aimed at finding solutions to accelerate the creation of value through increased revenue and a reduction in risk with the help of Gianluca Meloni - Founding partner, DGM Consulting (Predicting the results: a possible challenge) and Luca Lesignoli - founding partner, Studio Diellea (Big Cities, Fast Cities, Big Data, and support to business strategy).

Afterwards the speeches by RTS team: Robertino Piazza (Technical Director), Massimo Partisani (Executive Director) and Mauro Mercadante (Co-Founder). The speakers gave a global vision of the new RTS services and solutions to make the most of Industry 4.0 and more current issues, from digital workflow to supply chain integration, through the multicomponent packaging management and with diversified materials.

A note was also made on the importance of gathering marketing and competition data (prospects, visits, market potential), a collection that can be easier and more intuitive with RTS Smart Sales module.

Mauro Mercadante has also faced a deeply felt problem by the industry: the market is very dynamic and tends to require smaller lots and faster delivery, and the new machines require shorter makeready times, especially digital solutions, it follows that the production alternatives available increase and grows also the complexity of budgeting and scheduling of orders.

To underline the significant views of Cristina Redaelli (CEO at Ondulor Srl), who wanted to share with the audience her experience of business growth, but also personal, lived thanks to the Smart Company project carried out in her company during the last two years, and David Hvalic (Deputy Director at Eurobox), who has described the results already achieved after the recent installation of EasyStock that allowed his company to have a complete control of the warehouse management to drastically reduce resources and inventory realization.
